William Andrew Sterling, M.D.Forensic Psychiatrist, New York

Dr. William Sterling is a psychiatrist in forensic practice. He has been admitted as an expert in courts throughout New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley. Dr. Sterling also works as a forensic evaluator for the New York State Office Of Mental Health, and has done extensive work with individuals who have been found Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity. He is an instructor in the Columbia-Cornell Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program.

Dr. William Sterling completed medical school at SUNY Downstate College Of Medicine and residency at Zucker-Hillside Hospital/Hofstra-Northwell, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Sterling completed fellowship in forensic psychiatry at New York University. He is Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. He has been in private practice since 2021.
